Job summary

The Webb School is seeking a dedicated School Nurse with an Emergency Department background and a strong interest in athletic healthcare. Reporting to the Director of Health Services, you will bridge general school nursing with sports medicine leadership and work closely with the Student Affairs team and coaches to manage student health and well-being.

You will oversee injury prevention and care, ensure nursing coverage for home events, and develop policies for athletic healthcare safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (BSN preferred).
• Emergency Department nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Active RN license with current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership for the school sports medicine program across all grade levels and sports.
• Oversee prevention, evaluation, and immediate treatment of athletic injuries.
• Ensure appropriate nursing coverage for home competitions and occasional travel.
• Develop and implement athletic healthcare policies, heat/weather safety guidelines, and EAPs.
• Manage student-athlete physicals, concussion education, and communication with parents and coaches.
• Provide basic first aid, emergency intervention, and specialized nursing care per physician orders.
