  • Additional certifications (e.g., concussion management) preferred.

  • Develop and maintain emergency action plans for all athletic venues and events.
  • Oversee prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for all sports and grade levels.
  • Ensure appropriate athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, postseason play, and travel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with school, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, the School nurse, the Director of Athletics, the Director of Health and Human Performance, and external healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate and oversee school-wide programs related to athletic health and safety.
  • Communicate with parents and students regarding required documentation and expectations, including physical examinations and concussion education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the athletics leadership and health program.

  • Ensure appropriate athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, postseason play, and travel as needed
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with School, state, and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with coaching staff, the School nurse, the Director of Athletics, the Director of Health and Human Performance, and external healthcare providers
  • Coordinate and oversee School-wide programs related to athletic health and safety
  • Communicate clearly with parents and students regarding all required documentation and expectations, including physical examinations (e.g., student-athlete annual physicals, concussion education, drug testing if applicable)
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Director of Athletics, the Director of Health and Human Performance, the Athletics Department, and the School'smission
REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is expected
  • Master’s degree in athletic training, sports medicine, or a related field preferred
  • Eligible for or currently licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Tennessee
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (American Heart Association or equivalent
  • Additional certifications (e.g., concussion management, emergency care instruction) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collegial and eager to collaborate with sports coaches for the betterment of the athletes and the Webb School athletic program
