Job summary

Amergis is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to support the Speech Language Pathologist in school-based services in Peyton, CO. The role is contract – full time with a 36-week duration and a pay rate of $1612 per week.

The SLPA will participate in clinical, educational and documentation tasks, adhering to state requirements and professional standards. A valid SLPA license in the state of practice is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program.
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work or clinical experience as required by state/contract.
• Current certification or licensure as an SLPA in the state of practice.
• Meets relevant professional standards of practice.
• One year of prior SLPA experience preferred.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Engage in clinical, educational, documentation and treatment activities.

Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program

• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract

• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
