Amergis seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join its education staffing team in Salem, Oregon. The SLPA collaborates with the Speech Language Pathologist to deliver speech and language services across clinical, educational, and documentation activities within the plan of care.

Qualified candidates have SLPA training with the required degree, fieldwork hours, and licensure. This contract-full-time position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to support

Qualifications

• Graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program.
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or equivalent clinical experience as required by state/contract.
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the state of practice.
• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• One year of prior professional SLPA experience preferred.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
