Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in Duvall, WA. The SLPA will support the Speech Language Pathologist by delivering services, managing documentation, and executing treatment plans within the scope of care.

The role is contract-full time with a 35-hour workweek, paying $40 per hour. A SLPA degree and current state licensure are required; 100 hours of supervised field work are expected, with health screenings and

• Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
• Minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work or equivalent as required by state/contract.
• Current certification or state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services.
• Handle clinical, educational, documentation and treatment activities within the plan of care defined by the supervising clinician.
• Maintain required standards of practice and documentation.

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the SpeechLanguage Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
