Job summary

Humboldt Unified School District Special Services Office in Prescott Valley, Arizona, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat articulation, language, voice and fluency disorders within the educational setting.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents and other service providers; develop and monitor individualized treatment plans; document progress; and ensure compliance with state laws and district policies to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Arizona School Speech Pathologist Certification required.
• Arizona Department of Health Services License required.
• CCC certification preferred.
• Criminal justice fingerprints clearance.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers and families.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and identifies articulation, voice, fluency and language delays.
• Develops speech-language treatment plans with goals and methods.
• Designs activities addressing treatment plans and scheduling.
• Consults with teachers and parents regarding needs of the child.
• Provides direct therapy and monitors student progress; prepares space.
• Prepares paperwork and reports in compliance with guidelines.
• Maintains knowledge of current standards and practices.
• Submits Medicaid billing as required.
• Keeps information confidential and protects privacy.
• Plans district speech pathology services with staff and committees.
• Participates in meetings and collaborates with community partners.
