Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in northern New Jersey for the academic year, from early September to late June, with a stable 35-hour workweek and daytime hours.

You will deliver speech-language therapy to elementary students, perform evaluations, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student success in a vibrant educational setting.

Qualifications

  • Current SLP license for New Jersey.
  • CCC-SLP certification is preferred.
  • Strong background in school-based speech-language pathology, especially with elementary students.
  • Ability to navigate district protocols and partner with educational staff.
  • Ability to perform assessments, testing, and thorough evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver speech and language therapy to an assigned elementary caseload, fostering classroom communication.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and regular reassessments, documenting progress clearly.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective, engaging treatment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with district and state documentation requirements.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute insights on student support plans.

Job description

Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity serving elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in northern New Jersey. This role spans the academic year, beginning in early September and continuing through late June, providing consistent support to a dedicated caseload within a vibrant educational setting. Enjoy a structured schedule from 8:15AM3:15PM, offering stable hours across a 35-hour workweek.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:
  • Current SLP license for New Jersey required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong background in school-based speech-language pathology, particularly with elementary-aged students
  • Confidence in navigating district protocols and partnering with educational staff
  • Ability to perform assessments, testing, and thorough evaluations
  • Reliable transportation and willingness for on-site work
  • Comfortable with full caseload management and individualized interventions
  • Must be able to fulfill all onboarding processes, including TB test, physical, and fingerprinting
