Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students on a single campus in California. The assignment runs January 4 through the end of March with potential extension, delivering direct therapy and IEP-related services while collaborating with teachers and families.

Caseload is about 55 students, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (35 hours/week). Travel between campuses is not required.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• CCC-SLP credential.
• Experience working in school settings preferred.
• California SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and completing school-based documentation.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-6 students on your caseload.
• Complete assessments and participate in the IEP process, including goal development and progress monitoring.
• Document services and maintain compliance with state and district requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success.
• Adapt and individualize therapy to meet students unique needs.

Job description

Make a meaningful difference as a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) supporting elementary students and school staff. This assignment begins January 4th and runs through the end of March, with the possibility of extension. You'll be providing essential speech and language services as a leave replacement on a single campus, assisting a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students, including those who receive speech only services as well as students in resource programs.

Leverage your skill set and SLP expertise to positively impact young learners, collaborating with educators and families while delivering both direct therapy and consultative support within the school environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid CCC-SLP credential
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Current California SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
• Familiarity with IEP processes and completing school-based documentation
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
