Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for the school setting. The role involves evaluating students and delivering therapy services in line with the individual plan of care and physician orders.

This contract-full-time position offers a pay rate of $70 per hour, a 37-hour workweek, and benefits including health insurance and a 401(k). Ideal candidates hold NY SLP licensure, CCC-SLP preferred, and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Active SLP licensure in New York.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred or may be required by state/contract.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate current.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform student evaluations.
• Provide and document therapy services per care plan and physician's orders.
• Adhere to professional standards of practice.

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
