Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Alabama
  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification or CFY candidates considered
  • Experience providing school-based speech-language services preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and educators

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Provide resources and strategies to educators and families to facilitate students' academic and social development
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insights and recommendations
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines related to speech-language services

Skills

Masters degree in Speech-Language Path
SLP licensure in Alabama
CCC-SLP or CFY considered

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience providing school-based speech and language services preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children of diverse abilities and backgrounds
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
