Job summary

Cross Country Education is seeking a local contract School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a Waldorf, Maryland assignment to support elementary students’ communication skills throughout the school year.

Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide direct therapy, collect progress data, and collaborate with teachers, families and staff to reinforce speech-language strategies in classroom and school environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Active Maryland SLPA license/credential.
• Experience with elementary students in school/clinical setting preferred.

Position Overview

• Implement individualized speech-language therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students’ communication and academic needs.
• Provide direct therapy services and activities targeting speech, language, articulation, fluency, and functional communication skills.
• Collect and document student performance data, monitor progress toward therapy goals, and communicate updates with the supervising SLP.
• Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to reinforce speech-language strategies across classroom and school environments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
• Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License/Credential
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school or pediatric setting preferred
