Academy of Warren is currently hiring School Social Workers for the 2025/2026 school year.

The academy will be hosting a job fair on May 22nd, 2025, from 10am to 6pm. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the team and tour the campus. The job fair will be held at 13943 E. 8 Mile Road, Warren, MI 48089.

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated School Social Workers to join our team. The School Social Worker will provide comprehensive social work services to students, families, and staff. They will collaborate with school personnel to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues that impact student success. The ideal candidate will have a strong social work background, a deep understanding of child development, and a passion for supporting students' social, emotional, and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services such as counseling, crisis intervention, and group work.
• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement programs promoting a positive school climate.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and community agencies to address student needs.
• Support and educate families on issues like parenting, communication, and community resources.
• Maintain accurate records of services and student progress.
• Participate in school teams and committees to address student needs and promote initiatives.
• Stay updated on best practices in school social work.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for students.
