Job summary

Circle Academy Urbana is seeking a School Social Worker to provide counseling to students in a structured, therapeutic learning environment. The role supports students in Urbana and Rossville, IL, and collaborates with the treatment team to meet IEP goals and program requirements.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Social Work and a valid Illinois School Social Work license; at least three years of related experience in a therapeutic day treatment setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Social Work (required).
• Certification: Valid Illinois School Social Work License (LCSW/LSW/LCPC or LPC).
• Experience: Minimum of three years working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities in a therapeutic day treatment school setting.

The School Social Worker plans, prepares, and provides counseling to students weekly and as specified on the IEP or program requirements. Solid counseling and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. This role also requires someone who is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality; and prioritize multiple responsibilities while working cooperatively with other members of the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters degree in Social Work (required).

Certification: Valid Illinois School Social Work License, LCSW, LSW, LCPC, or LPC

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience working with students with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities in a therapeutic day treatment school setting preferred.
