Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School Social Worker for an onsite contract near Toms River, NJ. The assignment runs ASAP through June 2027, with a 32.5-hour weekly schedule to support students’ emotional, social, and academic well‑being.

You will join the Child Study Team, perform assessments, attend IEPs, and provide crisis counseling while coordinating with families and educators for student success.

Qualifications

• Current NJ SSW license required.
• Prior school-based social work experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of CST processes and special education protocols.
• Excellent communication to engage students, families, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and intervention as part of the Child Study Team.
• Complete comprehensive social assessments and documentation.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and community resources to address needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and support social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
