Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) is required.
• Master's degree in Social Work or School Counseling is required.

Responsibilities

• Attends to crisis situations and maintains confidentiality.
• Completes social developmental studies and assessments, including interviews and behavior assessments.
• Acts as liaison with special education processes and eligibility decisions.
• Leads the Student Based Assistance Team and participates in eligibility determinations.
• Delivers direct and/or consultative social work services as indicated on IEP.
• Communicates regularly with parents and advocates for students.
• Provides behavioral interventions and supports teachers with behavior management.
• Assists with mental health, behavioral concerns, and counseling as needed.
