Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work is required.
• NJ Educational Services Certificate with Social Worker endorsement is required.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CST case manager addressing personal, social, or emotional needs related to education.
• Consult with school personnel to plan for student behavior modification.
• Liaise between the district, child, and family services for out-of-district placements.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention to pupils.
• Assume case management responsibilities including pupil placement and evaluation.
• Participate in building Child Study Team meetings and develop IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Evaluate pupils' adaptive social functioning and emotional development; prepare reports.
• Develop and implement IEPs for Special Education students.
