Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a School Social Worker in Cassopolis, MI to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs through counseling and resource connections. You’ll collaborate with school teams, families, and community partners, respond to crises, and document progress for IEPs and 504 plans.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), state licensure as a School Social Worker, and eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
• State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain.
• Background check clearance and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments; contribute findings to IEPs and 504 plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans and behavior interventions.
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources to support student success and family engagement.
• Respond to crisis situations, including risk assessments and safety planning, while supporting students and staff.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of services and progress in compliance with legal standards.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on trauma-informed practices and SEL.
