Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a School Social Worker to support students' emotional well-being and access to resources in the Dearborn Heights, MI area. You will provide direct counseling, connect families with community supports, and advocate for students facing barriers to success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• State licensure or certification as a School Social Worker (or eligibility to obtain).
• Department of Justice/FBI Background Check (or equivalent state/national fingerprint clearance).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments; contribute findings to IEPs, 504 plans, and interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student support plans and behavior interventions.
• Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources to support student success and family engagement.
• Respond to crisis situations, including risk assessments and safety planning, with support for students and staff.
