Job summary

Loranger Memorial School in RSU 23 is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team for the 2026-27 school year, FTE 1.0. The role functions as a Student Services Provider, Community Outreach Coordinator, and IEP/504 Team Member.

The successful candidate will conduct mental health screenings, support crisis management, and collaborate with staff, families, and the community to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Maine Department of Education CHRC background check required.
• Hold valid Maine clinical license (LCSW).

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and crisis management support.
• Assist team members with making community connections.
• Consult with team members to provide integrated programming.
• Participate in the development of student goals, to include progress monitoring.
• Provide direct counseling services in social/emotional learning, group and/or individual.
• Develop and deliver professional development training for the district, school, and/or teams.
