Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold certified school social worker endorsement (SSW).

Responsibilities

• Crisis intervention for students.
• Participate in building-based multidisciplinary teams.
• Interventions within general education classrooms.
• Consult with parents, education, and resources.
• Direct interventions with students based on referrals.
• Observe students in general education classrooms.
• Gather background and current behavioral information.
• Organize and facilitate student groups on topics.
• Home visits and substance abuse referrals.
• New student orientation.
• Lead FBAs and BIPs.
• Lead development of Behavioral Intervention Plans.
• Participate in IEP team meetings.
• Participate in the 504 process as needed.
• Liaison services for general and Special Education.
