Job summary

North Lawndale College Prep is seeking a School Social Worker to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being and to promote academic success. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (CSWE-accredited) required.
• Valid School Social Worker endorsement through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) required.
• Must become Safety Care certified within 3 months of starting the position (through Chicago Public Schools).
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching, instructional leadership, or an academic leadership role.
• Experience using student data to drive intervention planning and instructional decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to identify students in need of support.
• Develop and implement programs promoting positive behavior and social-emotional learning.
• Maintain compliant, confidential records and support IEP/IEP-related processes.
• Respond to crises and develop crisis response plans with school administration.
