Job summary

The Baker Center for Children and Families is seeking a School Social Worker (LICSW or LCSW) for a full-time 11-month position in Boston. The role focuses on providing trauma-informed mental health services to a diverse student population and coordinating care with families and school teams.

The position requires MA licensure (LCSW/LICSW) and a master’s degree in social work, with 1–3 years’ clinical experience in school or educational settings. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• LCSW/LICSW in MA or eligibility to obtain licensure within 6–12 months.
• Experience with school-based mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mental health services to students from K–12 in a school setting.
• Complete clinical documentation in EMR, including intakes, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with families, caregivers, community providers, and agencies.
• Act as internal case manager and team leader for assigned caseload and participate in IEP meetings.
• Lead and supervise social work interns and contribute to treatment planning and crisis intervention.
