Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a qualified School Social Worker to support students, families, and staff under the supervision of the Principal and Director of Special Education. Qualifications / Experience

• ISBE PEL with School Social Worker endorsement, required.
• An interest and/or experience in working with regular and special education students to develop social and organizational skills
• An interest in providing consultation and assistance to parents
• Expertise in conducting social developmental studies and developing Individual Education Programs for students with social skill deficits
• The ability to work collaboratively with others to optimize student achievement
• A willingness to participate in staff development opportunities
• A strong commitment to professional excellence

Summary: Under the general supervision of the Principal and Director of Special Education, to provide students, parents, administrators, and other teaching staff with individually-tailored advice and consultation to overcome personal, emotional, familial, or social issues to maximize the students' learning experience.
