DUTIES
- Provide individual and group therapy to students based on IEPs and specific needs.
- Offer family support services when necessary.
- Participate in the admissions review process.
- Collaborate with mental health providers and make referrals as needed.
- Assess behavioral skills, set goals, and assist in developing FBAs and BIPs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate IEPs, maintaining detailed progress records.
- Conduct therapy sessions via telehealth, in-school, and community settings, including home visits and transportation.
- Provide crisis intervention services during school hours.
- Stay informed about characteristics of emotional and behavioral disabilities and incorporate new clinical practices.
- Assist with State Assessment processes as needed.
- Must be able to drive a personal vehicle to community student locations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Maryland LMSW (supervision provided), LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC.
- Commitment to obtain and maintain Maryland State Department of Education School Social Worker Certification, if applicable.
EXPERIENCE
- At least one year of group, individual, or family therapy experience with children or adolescents with emotional and behavioral disabilities, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
