Job summary

Plymouth Scholars Charter Academy, part of National Heritage Academies, is seeking a licensed school social worker to support students in Young5-8 with IEP-guided services. The role centers on counseling, behavior support, and collaboration with teachers and families to promote student success.

Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing behavior plans, coordinating with community resources, and maintaining required records.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates must hold valid licensure for the state they are working in.
• MSW degree and LMSW license required.
• School Social Work certification in MOECS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual counseling to special education students per IEPs and monitor goals.
• Provide counseling to general education students and monitor interventions.
• Develop and monitor behavior intervention plans and support teachers.
• Complete psychosocial assessments to help determine services.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and report results in parent-friendly language.
• Complete risk assessments for students referred to school social work.
• Establish relationships with students and parents and participate in planning.
• Identify community resources and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide staff consultation on behavioral-emotional-environmental issues.
• Provide crisis intervention services.
• Maintain clinical records and submit documents for reports.
