2025-2026 school year - Stevenson High School District 125The Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) is seeking licensed applicants for the 2025-2026 school year. The ELC is located in Vernon Hills (Lake County), Illinois; is a special education cooperative providing services to students identified with special needs, ages 3 through 22 years of age. The ELC represents Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96, Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103, Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 and Fox Lake District 114. The ELC serves eight elementary schools, four junior high/middle schools and one high school.
Description:As we continue to provide world-class, specialized educational services and supports locally for our exceptional learners in partnership with families and districts, the school social worker will support our students with a variety of needs in a more structured learning environment.
Qualifications:- Type 73 required; experience working with high school students.
- Knowledge of IEP and evaluation assessment requirements.
- Knowledge of a variety of disabilities and the impact on education.
- Knowledge and ability to support crisis assessment, intervention and de-escalation.
- Promote collaboration among community health and mental health service providers and facilitates distribution of these resources to families.
The following qualifications are preferred:- Experience in schools.
- Experience working with students with a variety of needs.
Salary & Benefit Information:
- Pay ranges from $55,350 - $115,000 depending on education level and experience.
- This is a 10-month, Monday through Friday position.
