Description:
Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a dynamic 1.0 FTE School Social Worker to join the team at Eagle Creek Elementary for the 25-26 school year.

Job Summary:
The School Social Worker plays a key role in promoting student success by addressing social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors that impact learning. This position involves providing direct services to students and families, participating in student support and special education teams, and fostering strong home-school-community partnerships. Additional duties include facilitation of 504 services in the assigned building including referral review, evaluation and accommodation plans, and participation on student support teams for intervention planning, problem solving, and data collection.

Qualifications:

  • Must be trained in NVCI - District may provide training
  • Experience in Special Education and in school settings preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Classroom and office environment
  • Ability to assist staff on site with student behaviors
