Show/HideSchool Social WorkerKirkwood School District is hiring a Social Worker for the 23/24 school year at Robinson Elementary School.
Essential Job Functions1. Administer appropriate assessments to determine the social, emotional, behavioral needs of students for the purpose of identifying the source of concerns; collaborate with school counselor, administration, and student support personnel to identify and provide effective intervention strategies and monitor progress which will promote student success
2. Identify recurring student support needs and coordinate with colleagues to create a district-wide prevention and/or response program. Research and design preventative community programming to provide information, strategies, and resources needed to help minimize issues impacting student success
3. Actively participates in professional growth activities and stays abreast of new or innovative strategies involving social services. Serves as a district expert regarding prevention programming and resource availability. Actively seeks out new community resources and leverages internal resources. Demonstrates responsibilities to the overall successful operation of the department, school, district, and community. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively
4. Assist with other school and district events and programs as requested
5. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Pay starts at $29.07 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a full-time, 10 month position, with benefits.
