Job summary

Global Psychological is seeking a School Social Worker to support students across multiple schools, addressing social and emotional needs and promoting a positive learning environment.

You will provide direct and group counseling, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and collaborate with families, teachers, and administrators to plan evidence-based supports and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications

• Social Worker License (required).
• School Social Worker approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to refer students who have serious social and emotional problems that interfere with learning
• Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students and their families
• Identify and assesses academic problems through analysis of factors impinging on student adjustment including factors in the home, school, and community
• Determine and implement appropriate therapeutic strategies to effect changes in behavioral/social interactions of students and their families
• Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in the determination of special education eligibility
• Coordinate and facilitate crisis intervention
