Job summary

Global Psychological is seeking a School Social Worker to join our team in Benton Harbor, MI. This full-time role provides direct student services, family counseling, and collaboration with school staff to support student well-being.

You will assess academic and behavioral needs, coordinate crisis interventions, and participate in referrals for special education eligibility while working across multiple buildings with support and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services to refer students who have serious social and emotional problems that interfere with learning
• Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students and their families
• Identify and assesses academic problems through analysis of factors impinging on student adjustment including factors in the home, school, and community
• Determine and implement appropriate therapeutic strategies to effect changes in behavioral/social interactions of students and their families
• Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in the determination of special education eligibility
• Coordinate and facilitate crisis intervention
