St. Clair County RESA in Marysville, Michigan, is seeking a full-time Snack Shop Caterer to join the Catering Department. Responsibilities include baking, cooking, preparing meals, serving, and managing inventory while working with students.

The role requires a high school diploma, food prep experience, ServSafe sanitation certification, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. The schedule runs Monday–Friday 7:00 am–2:30 pm, with possible evenings and summer hours; wage $15.00–$17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food preparation, baking, and cooking in restaurants, hospitals, schools, or catering events.
• Ability to work with students and staff in a customer service setting.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work long hours while standing.
• Knowledge and/or certification in ServSafe Sanitation.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with instructional staff, the food service department, and administration.
• Assist with preparing meals, snacks, and catered events, as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, instructional staff, catering staff, and administration.
• Handle currency and run a cash register.
• Provide support with catering needs.
• Work a flexible schedule throughout the year, including possible nights, weekends, and summer.
• Detect burning, spoilage, and freshness of food products.
• Prepare daily food requirements.
• Read and follow recipes.
• Deliver a high level of customer service at all times.
• Able to work with students.
• Work in a fast, steady‑paced environment.
