Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Chandler, AZ. This contract-full-time role supports the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services within school settings.

The position requires SLPA certification or licensure, an associate or bachelor's degree in related fields, and at least 18 years old with 100 hours of supervised field work. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and weekly paychecks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract.
• Current certification or licensure as an SLPA in the state of practice.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• One year of prior professional SLPA experience preferred.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services.
• Perform clinical, educational, documentation and treatment-related activities while working within the plan of care assigned by the Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.
