Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract job in Kansas City, KS. The position is school-based, in-person, with a 37.5 hour work week, 31 weeks duration, and a start ASAP with an end date around May 26, 2027.

The role involves supporting students with autism and emotional/behavioral disorders, collaborating with teachers and aides, evaluating students, and creating IEP goals within a small classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in SLP or CSD required.
• Active Kansas SLP license required.
• ASHA CCC-SLP required.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.
• Open to working with students across all grade levels.
• Flexible with varying bell schedules and assignments.
• Comfortable supporting students with autism and significant emotional/behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
• Conduct evaluations and screenings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals.
• Support students with autism and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, aides, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in IEP meetings and document progress.
• Adapt therapy strategies to individual student needs.
