Job summary

Oxnard School District seeks a Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support credentialed therapists in delivering services to students under IEP goals. The role involves assisting with assessments, therapy material preparation, and collaboration with educators and medical staff within a school setting.

Qualifications include a CA SLP-A license, CPR/first aid, and a valid CA driver's license; six months of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience working with individuals with speech and language disabilities in a structured environment is desired.
• Possession of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License through the California board.
• CPR and first aid certificate (may be acquired during 6 month probationary period).
• Valid California Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing student speech therapy services according to IEP goals and treatment plans developed by a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Assist in the assessment of student speech and language skills.
• Confer with Speech Language Pathologist regarding student progress.
