Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
• Experience as a security guard may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State.

Responsibilities

• Provides security for the school building and enforces regulations.
• Works with other safety team members on discipline and behavior issues.
• Builds relationships with students to facilitate academic success.
• Supervises in-school suspension or after school detention room.
• Collaborates with security staff to resolve student safety problems.
