Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a School Security Officer to patrol campuses and protect students, staff, and visitors. You will apply safety procedures, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents with responsiveness and discretion.

Responsibilities include assisting with investigations, supporting administrators, and coordinating with police when needed. Must maintain certifications and work in a dynamic school environment to uphold safety and order.

Qualifications

• Common knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to investigate and document incidents clearly.
• Capability to administer first aid and CPR.
• Strong communication with students, staff and law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Assist administrators in preventing injury and property loss through patrols and surveillance.
• Patrol designated areas to prevent disruptions and ensure safety.
• Enforce school policies and procedures on school property.
• Assist in investigations and conduct interviews when needed.
• Provide first aid/CPR as required and coordinate with public safety.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain records.
