Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 Schools is seeking a Security Officer (Floating Assignment) to support student safety across campuses. The position is 8.0 hours per day, 10.5 months per year, with 2 positions available, located at Administrative Center - School Supports.

Required qualifications include an associate degree or higher, 3 years' security experience, valid driver's license, TCI and CPR/First Aid within 90 days, and ability to work with diverse student populations. Training and overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher required.
• Three years of security experience, school security preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• TCI training within 90 days of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 90 days.
• Experience working with students and diverse populations.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to intervene physically when necessary and remain calm.
• Familiar with MS Office and Google Suite; willingness to train.
• Willingness to attend trainings and work overtime as needed.
• Able to respond to after-hours calls.
