Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in school safety, security, or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day safety operations and supervise safety staff.
• Liaise between school administrators, district leaders, and municipal emergency services.
• Develop and monitor safety policies, drills, and emergency plans for 9–12.
• Review incident reports and secure logs; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate safety personnel; manage budgets.
• Lead major school events and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency agencies.
• Coordinate Silent Observer program and schedule all required drills.
