Job summary

Soliant is seeking an RN to provide one-on-one care and supervision for a student requiring transportation assistance in Lancaster, PA. The role focuses on monitoring blood glucose during transit and responding to diabetes-related needs.

The assignment runs on split shifts with consistent weekday mornings and afternoons, offering a contract position that emphasizes patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with school staff and guardians.

Qualifications

• Active RN license; school nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to monitor chronic conditions, especially diabetes.
• Strong communication with educators, guardians, and healthcare providers.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to cover split shifts.
• Comfort with continual supervision and clinical assessment during transit.

Responsibilities

• Ride with and supervise the student during transportation to and from placement.
• Monitor and manage blood sugar levels; respond to any diabetic emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care during transit.
• Serve as a resource for transportation staff regarding the student’s condition.
• Communicate health concerns promptly with school staff and family.
