Sunbelt Staffing seeks a contract RN to support a kindergarten student with Type 1 Diabetes during bus transport near New Brunswick, NJ. This part-time assignment focuses on safe, compassionate care for a single student on the ride to and from school.

You will work closely with school nurses and caregivers, monitor diabetes management, and document care plans while ensuring a calm, reassuring presence throughout the commute. Immediate start through the academic year.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in New Jersey.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to work with young children and adapt to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Accompany one kindergartner on the school bus during home-to-school transport.
• Monitor and assist with diabetic management as needed during transit.
• Collaborate with school nurses and caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain timely documentation and communicate updates as necessary.

This unique, part-time opportunity focuses exclusively on assisting a recently diagnosed kindergarten student with Type 1 Diabetes, specifically during bus transportation. Your expertise and presence will offer added reassurance while ensuring a safe, nurturing ride to and from schoolhelping to set the student up for daily success.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in New Jersey
• Previous pediatric nursing experience or background working in schools strongly preferred
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability with young children
• Strong communication and quick-thinking skills, particularly in emergent or changing situations
• CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany one kindergarten student on the school bus between home and school
• Monitor and assist with diabetic management as needed during transport
• Collaborate with school nursing staff and the student's primary caregivers to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate updates as necessary
