Job summary

Soliant is seeking a licensed school nurse (LSN) or RN to support K-8 students at a Saint Paul charter school. This full-time, onsite contract involves health room duties and collaboration with educators and health staff.

You will perform health assessments, develop IHPs, manage medication setups with the Health Aide, and train staff on health needs while promoting student wellness in a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota Licensed School Nurse (LSN) certification or valid RN license.
• Prior experience in a school health room/setting strongly preferred.
• Skilled in IHP (Individualized Healthcare Plan) development and implementation.
• Proven ability to coordinate medication administration and train support staff.
• Comfortable conducting hearing and vision screenings onsite when requested.
• Experience supporting special education evaluations with health interviews and comprehensive narrative summaries.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, staff, and families.
• Organized, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform student health assessments, including hearing and vision screens as needed.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs).
• Work closely with the Health Aide on medication set-up and routine student care.
• Conduct health interviews and provide record reviews for special education assessments.
• Deliver training to staff regarding IHPs and student health needs.
• Partner with families and school professionals to support student wellness.
• Provide guidance on general wellness practices throughout the school community.
