Job summary

Soliant is seeking skilled school-based nurses to support students' health and well-being in districts near Gig Harbor, WA. This contract role accepts RN or LPN/LVN licenses and offers opportunities in either elementary or middle schools.

You will collaborate with educators and families to implement individualized health plans, manage chronic or urgent health conditions, and educate staff on health management while maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

Current RN or LPN/LVN license in Washington State.
Pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred.
Experience caring for students with tracheostomy, g-tube, or on ventilator support.
Seizure recognition and management, and diabetic care.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Commitment to compassionate and safe care for students with diverse health needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care, including trach, g-tube, and vent management during the school day.
Assess, monitor, and support students with chronic or acute medical conditions.
Create and implement individualized health plans with educational teams and families.
Respond to health emergencies and implement seizure responses.
Educate staff and students about health management and wellness.
Maintain accurate health records per school protocols.
