Job summary

North Bay Schools Insurance Authority (NBSIA) is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to support risk programs and member services. The role collaborates with Members, brokers, carriers, and legal counsel to identify exposures and develop loss-prevention resources.

The position involves analyzing claims data, conducting site visits, coordinating trainings, and preparing communications and reports. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; ARM/CSRM is desirable, and a hybrid remote

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in risk management or related field.
• Experience with public entities, school districts, or risk pools preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business, public administration, safety, or related field.
• Knowledge of contracts, indemnification, certificates of insurance, and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage assigned projects from development through completion, with timelines and resources.
• Collect, validate, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative information for program evaluation.
• Coordinate with brokers, carriers, consultants, and legal counsel; monitor deliverables.
• Develop training materials, guidance, and educational resources for Members.
• Prepare staff reports, meeting materials, and presentations for leadership and committees.
