Job summary

Titan Security is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect a school in Southfield, Michigan. You will provide excellent customer service, manage access, and respond to incidents to keep students, staff, and visitors safe.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, ability to pass background checks and a drug screen, and English proficiency. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Join our team as a Security Officer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, controlling access, and ensuring the safety of the premises through vigilant patrols and incident response.

Titan Security is hiring Security Officers for a school in Southfield, Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information.
• Conduct general patrols on foot and within a vehicle to check for security violations like unsafe conditions or unauthorized persons.
• Control access for patrons, visitors or vendors as required.
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a Valid Driver's License.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 75 lbs., completing foot patrols, sitting, standing, walking, driving for a significant period of time, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Security experience in schools or a related youth-serving environment.
• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
