City of Apache Junction is seeking an experienced School Resource Officer (SRO) to provide safety in schools and the community. The role includes visible policing, proactive patrols, and emergency response to protect students, staff, and visitors.

You will collaborate with school administrators, mentor youth, deliver classroom programs on drug awareness and safety, and engage with families and community partners while upholding AZPOST standards.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED and AZPOST certification or eligibility within 6 months.
• One year full-time paid experience as police officer in the last three years and AZPOST certification within 3 months of appointment.
• AZPOST certification within three months of appointment.

Aufgaben

• Patrol designated area by vehicle or on foot to deter crime and enforce laws.
• Respond to calls for service and administer first aid/CPR when needed.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and court-related documents.
• Coordinate with other officers to make arrests and implement strategies.
• Secure crime scenes, collect evidence, and interview witnesses.
