Mobile Civil Service is seeking a School Resource Officer to provide sworn law enforcement services within the school system. You will be responsible for maintaining safety on campus, responding to incidents, and enforcing applicable laws and district rules to protect students and staff.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of sworn law enforcement experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience), and Alabama POST certification.
This is the day-to-day activities of the sworn law enforcement officers assigned to the school system for the Police Department.
Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of two years of sworn law enforcement experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Ability to meet established state standards of physical endurance, agility, health, and vision for law enforcement personnel.
Must possess certification as a sworn law enforcement officer by the State of Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission. Must possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
