Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida seeks a qualified Deputy Sheriff – School Resource Officer to serve in Orlando, Florida. The role focuses on student, staff and parent engagement to prevent dangerous situations and to deliver safety presentations in classrooms.

Candidates must be Florida LEO certified, with 2+ years of continuous law enforcement experience in patrol, SRO, or reserve deputy roles.

Qualifications

• Must be Florida LEO certified and pass certification exam.
• Two years continuous law enforcement experience at same agency with at least one year in uniform patrol or two years SRO experience; or two years as Orange County Sheriff's Office Reserve Deputy II.
• U.S. Citizen; good driving history; clean background.

Responsabilités

• Commit to engaging with students and school staff to prevent dangerous situations.
• Provide classroom presentations on law awareness.
• Assist in pursuit, apprehension and arrest of law violators when requested by dispatch or deputies.
• Submit monthly statistics and reports.
