Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Licensed School Nurse to support K-8 students just outside Minneapolis, MN. This contract role focuses on creating a healthy, safe school experience and collaborating with an educational team.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• School nursing certification or eligibility preferred.
• Experience with children in school/pediatric settings.
• Strong assessment skills for emergencies.

• Competence in documentation and health records.
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care to K-8 students, addressing routine and emergency needs.
• Administer medications and manage health care plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings and other health checks.
• Offer health education to students and staff to foster safety.
• Monitor immunization compliance and maintain health records.
• Serve as a health resource, collaborating with teachers and parents.
• Promote wellness initiatives and public health standards in the school.
