Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care and health services to students in the school health room & assigned school settings.

• Support one-to-one nursing assignments & provide substitute coverage across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels as needed.

• Assess student health needs, respond to illnesses & injuries, and coordinate appropriate follow-up care in accordance with established procedures.

• Maintain accurate student health records & communicate effectively with families, school staff, & healthcare providers while protecting confidentiality.

• Promote a safe, supportive, & healthy learning environment through health education, care coordination, & collaboration with the school team.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or equivalent nursing education.

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience.

• Ability to provide nursing care in an elementary school setting.

• Ability to support substitute coverage across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

• Prepared to work day shifts according to a 4-10 schedule & complete up to 37.5 hours per week.

• Strong communication, organization, adaptability, & the ability to work independently & collaboratively with students, families, educators, & healthcare professionals.

• Successful completion of applicable compliance, credentialing, & background-check requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with school-age children, in a school health room, or providing one-to-one nursing support is preferred.
