Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a School Psychologist for Broward County Schools to provide psychological services and assist in designing educational programs that support student learning and adjustment.

The role involves evaluating referred students, consulting with staff, interpreting findings for families and professionals, preparing reports, and participating in IEP and staff development activities, ensuring compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a master's or specialist degree training program in School Psychology.
• Successful completion of all post bachelor's degree coursework including practicum experiences.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students for psychological services in line with laws and policies.
• Provide consultative services to school personnel on interventions and needs.
• Interpret psychological findings to parents and professionals.
• Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations.
• Participate in inservice training and committee meetings as directed.
• Assist in eligibility/IEP/placement processes in consultation with a psychologist.
• Contribute to reviews of students in ESE programs.
• Follow department procedures and report issues to leadership.
• Conduct individual and group counseling to support student growth.
• Engage in school activities where psychology expertise is valuable.
